He has been that way for years.
Fries, salad, milkshakes and beer are all vegetarian. And onion rings. Not sure why anyone would think feta cheese is not vegetarian, but Paul isn't a stickler for details it seems :p
I think overall they're good may be u went in a bad day. But for sure we keep an eye. Thanks
No not that I heard or anytime soon.
Don't know
I tried it today for first time I liked the burger but unfortunately fries was cold they need find solution for orders and timing so costumer dont wait too long for their order while its ready . Thank you
Great affordable food. Great service
I have been coming to Square Boys longer than I have lived in Toronto. Service is always great, if you go regularly they are really good at remembering faces. It's a family run business and it shows in the comradery between coworkers. Food is consistently delicious, I usually go for souvlaki on a pita, with a Greek salad and an order of Greek fries and I am never disappointed!! If you haven't had Greek fries before, get yourself an order, you won't be disappointed. They also do rotisserie chicken, but you have to get there earlier in the evening, cause they go quick!
They've been around forever...35 years or more. Best souvlaki on the Danforth. Fast friendly service, I would highly recommend, if your craving Greek...
Consistently good, old school restaurant (with old school prices) that accepts cash only. The homemade banquet burger and souvlaki on a bun are perfection.
No idea how they keep the prices so low and the taste so good. Amazing souvlaki (get it on a pita!)
Excellent home burger. I had the banquet burger. Absolutely tasty. Fries were good. Staff was very friendly and asking people to social distance. Very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend.
Great food, fast service and good prices.
Great prices and even better food. Fast and fresh food. Chicken souvlaki is the best!
My opinion best burgers in Toronto. Service is fast and friendly. Food is reasonably priced and you can tell that the staff appreciate their customers. The homemade burgers really taste like they're all made. Two can easily dine for under $20. If you don't believe me just look at this picture of a happy customer.
My husband and I are addicted. We live nearby and we can't go a week without getting a hit of Square Boy's gyro. Beautifully marinated, juicy, tender, they're amazing. Perfect with their salad and fries, so good. Worth the hype. Worth the line when it does get busy.
The cashier and couple of kitchen staff did not were masks and rejected my request to do so. The birds in the patio made the experience very frustrating and stressful.
By far, best restaurant on the Danforth. Homemade food, made fast, made excellent. I usually only have the burger and fries, but the souvlaki smells and looks delicious here. Very convenient parking lot next to the shop. Been eating at Square Boy since 1995, I hope they never close down.
Its a very good idea for the whole family
Very affordable and delicious food!Only problem is, they are very slow causing them to look extremely busy. They make one order at a time, even if your order is small and quick to make, you will wait a long time. It’s all based on sequence of order. Order some Greek fries and a drink and see how long it will take, if you have 10+ orders ahead of yours. This is the true meaning of first come, first serve!!!
Love this restaurant! Its a traditional Greek restaurant, family owned. The have incredibly low prices, lovely staff, and amazing food! I visit whenever I am in the area. Also, one moment that really stuck out to me was the day I tried to give a tip for my order, and the owner refused to take it, saying "Your tip to me is every time you come back and order again" I thought it was very moving :)
They make the best Souvlaki around and all the Toronto fresh tender meat well spiced these guys know what they're doing
I don’t know where to start. So I’ll keep it simple. The food is amazing. All of it
DIRTY - SEEN A MAN WORKING TODAY YELL TOWARDS A FATHER AND HIS DAUGHTER. SOME MAN ASKED HIM WHY HE WAS DOING THIS AND THE MAN AT THE CASH IS SO SO ANGRY AND AGGRESSIVE. I WONT RETURN :(
In my experience it is inexpensive and tasty Greek and North American food. A local favorite with really loyal customers. Not fancy but very worth it.
Cheap and I don't mean the food. If you're my age 44. You remember a lot of burger places. They had orange seating in the 80s early 90s . And the food was the best. That's how square boy is. You go in see the 80s. Pay almost what you did in the 90s. And the food is beyond amazing
Delicious and well priced. Huge value for the price. $5.50 + tax. for a beef or chicken burger, fries and a pop. Domestic bottled beers for $4.50 + tax. Place gets busy but there is Patio sitting at the front, due to covid about 4 table sittings are available. Parking can fit around 20 cars.
Square Boy is the place to have the best homemade Burgers, souvlakis and fries. It's very cheap yet very delicious. And their onion rings is one of the best in town. I highly recommend it for everyone, though you would have to wait in line but it goes very fast
Amazing 😍 best place. Staff was amazingly friendly. Food was fantastic 👍 thanks to everyone there
Best chicken souvlaki in the city. Hands down.
Best burger in the city. Take a weekly trip from downtown just to get a great burger. $5 burger combo seriously can’t be beat.
Cannot get enough of this place. The old school feel, welcoming staff, fantastic prices and delicious food keeps you coming back. My usual go to is a chicken souvlaki on a bun, souvlaki dinner or burger combo. Be wary of long lines during peak hours but don't fret, the food is worth it.
Great Eats on the Danforth! Gyros, Souvlaki, Salads and Fries. They have a Patio and serve cold beer, as well as milkshakes. Hard working, Family owned business. Thanks for being a Staple of the Community!!
I heard one of the owners just died? What happened? I love this place!
Great local family business with those classic burger joint eats you’re looking for and even some delicious dinner plates. The portions are great and the prices are even better and best of all the food is prepared fresh and delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu to be honest but some favourites are the Chicken or Pork Souvlaki on a bun or as a dinner plate with Greek Salad and Fries, Gyro on a Pita or as a dinner plate or even their Homemade Burger is on point too.
One of the best chicken souvlaki in the city with very reasonable price. The staff are also the nicest grumpy old men. They're hilarious. They don't smile when they tell jokes. Love this place. Only drawback is that they only accept cash.
This place is epic. Definitely a big part of the community for years. I've been going here for about 26 years as well as the rest of my family. Owners are awesome and have always treated me very well. My favorite food here is the homemade banquet burger. 🤤🤤 thanks guys!! See you guys again soon
Came here on a recommendation of a local food blogger and it’s not good. Food is not fresh. Got the chicken souvlaki on a bun and it was cold and the chicken was dry and hard. Tzatziki has no garlicy kick. They don’t use real feta, it’s some feta product that tastes very powdery. Yes it’s cheap, but the quality is horrible. I’m used to eating Zet’s on Airport Rd and it’s wayyyy way better for this type of Greek diner food.
Simple et really tasty Greek food. Recommended for a quick bite
The food is simple and affordable. We had the chicken souvlaki on a bun and theb burger. The burger was ok, overdone and not the best beef. The souvlaki was well cooked. I I wouldn't recommend the burger, but overall good value for your money!
Great takeout spot! This local fast food joint has been in operation for years. The great gyros and hamburgers. Call ahead and place your order to avoid wait times. It's also cash only so come prepared. If not there's an ATM inside.
Great food, prices are very reasonable, One of my favorite places to eat or grab food to go, highly recommend
Always great food. Good prices. Has been around a long time
It's so good and very very reasonably priced. 2 huge Greek salads and fish and chips were $17.50!! With tax. $3 milkshakes! I love their Greek salad so much! After moving away for about 7 years it was one of the first places I visited when I finally moved back. It's open late and the staff are friendly and long-standing. This restaurant is a staple on Danforth and a must visit! It may even look the same inside as it did the day it opened. $3.60 beer and wine!
This is a total classic Toronto spot that is worth the wait if there is the line. The service is incredibly fast and staff are very nice. The burgers are great for the price, I keep coming back!
Great chicken souvlaki and tonnes of tzagiiki sauce and all the toppings for a great valueGreat friendly service and safe too!Love this place!
Food: AMAZING! Amazing would be an understatement. This place has consistently the best chicken souvlakis in Toronto. We had the chicken souvlaki dinner and added an extra souvlaki. You will definently be full. The salad was also amazing, so were the fries as well. Cost: EVEN BETTER! The price is really good. You cannot find many good places where you have a full plate with two chicken souvlakis under $15. Cash only: Don't forget to bring cash with you as you need it here. They only accept cash, but as far as I recall, they had an ATM in store. Overall, a top restaurant in town! A hidden gem for lovers of greek food!!
Nice vibe with a very affordable menu. It's pretty popular so expect to wait even for a small order.
One for the best spots in the city for Chicago style gyro. Ask for extra meat; it's $2.00 but 100% worth it! Also love their souvlaki and home burger.
Delicious, cheap, quick greek food and burgers and fries. Makes you feel like you go back in time.Family run, a must try on The Danforth
Square Boy has been a staple on The Danforth for many years, it’s a place to get decent food at a cheap price. I have been here a few times over the years. Everything is still old school. I decided to have the banquet burger which is handmade, flavoured and filling. Definitely a place that I will always come back to. Also if you want a cheap beer ($3.60).
I had the chicken souvlaki on a pita with fries and it was really good. Service was good, there is seating inside and outside (they have a patio). We liked the Fries with gravy. We paid around $20 for 2 souvlaki + fries and a drink, pretty reasonable in my opinion.
Great food, served fast at a decent price. Lose a star for no debit or credit. Not everyone is a hustler who rolls with a wad, guys.
Great food and always fresh, the parking is a mess but worth it.They quality of food is great and you feel like eating in greece.
Fast friendly service and the best souvlaki I've had.
